When we look for evidence of miracles, we often turn to the ones recorded in the Bible; it’s certainly loaded with them. The Bible contains miracles from cover to cover. The authenticity of Jesus’ earthly ministry was even confirmed by ‘Signs and Wonders.’
But God is still in the business of miracles today. The ‘Modern Miracles’ that God performs are just as profound as any recorded in the Bible:
He heals the brokenhearted.
He frees addiction’s captives.
He makes proud souls contrite.
He turns deserters into warriors.
He makes guilty sinners innocent.
He turns His enemies into friends.
He makes a way when there is no way.
He makes the powerless a storehouse of infinite power.
Of course, He still heals the sick as well and gives hope to the hopeless, and shines on those who dwell in the valley of the shadow of death. He meets us where we are and prepares a personal path for us – then He walks it with us.
When we remind ourselves of such demonstrations of His faithfulness and power it buoys our faith to believe in the most amazing promised miracles yet to come.
